The Guardians of the Galaxy The franchise is about to expand, like the new show I grew up The premiere is scheduled to take place this week. The animated series of shorts is set to deal with Disney + . subscription The owners of some funny and sweet adventures starring the living tree resident of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The production will also see Vin Diesel return to lend his voice to the fan-favorite once again. At this point, Diesel has done quite a few recording sessions for Groot, appearing as a character in multiple films over the years. But the guy who did it for this project was probably his shortest, recording all of his dialogue in a ridiculous amount of time.
previous to I grew upAfter his release, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kirsten Lepore – the show’s director, writer and EP. Lepore, a veteran animator who has done a lot of work with short films, provided insight into her work on the reality series. Of course, while chatting, I had to ask her what it was like taking out a Groot representative. Lepore had nothing but praise for the MCU vet and also confirmed how quickly he finished his work on the project:
We had an hour. We honestly recorded it all within an hour. So it was only one recording session. I mean, honestly I didn’t even have to give [Vin Diesel] Lots of direction. As in fact, he just came, and he just nailed it. Like, he saw [the shorts] For the first time, seeing them in a very rough form. So he’d watch one, and then he would go up to the microphone and say, “Let’s just go for it.” He was going through everything. It is usually true the first time. We were going to go back and pick up a few things, but he’s really good at what he’s doing, and he knows this character so well. …it was a great record. We were just cracking. We had a great time it was great.
Well, the designers didn’t waste any time getting the audio commentary out of the way. The voice acting is incredibly boring and can require a knack to stay in the cabin for hours at a time. (And if a star is the lead in a TV show or movie, that session usually only represents part of the production.) It should be noted that in this case, the actor is saying variations of the same three words, so things aren’t too involved. However, kudos to him for getting things done in such a quick way.
Vin Diesel posted about the Groot recording session Back in February, and while we can’t say that with absolute certainty, it probably was. Kristen Lepore said they had a great time, and the video Diesel posted indicates that he was enjoying himself in the session he posted. The The Fast and the Furious The alum definitely seems to keep a soft spot for his lovable extraterrestrial being, and he’s already pumped for what awaits him on his next big screen outing.

Suggest that after you become an infant and a teenager, the tree will become an ‘Alpha Groot’. writer and director James Gunn’s response to these allegations, admitted he had “no idea” what his colleague was referring to. Gunn stated at the time that Diesel had not yet read the script, but the director confirmed that the tree would be a “different object” in his three-part cover.
This flick doesn’t hit theaters until next year, giving you plenty of time to check out Baby Groot’s adventures in his new self-titled series. Vin Diesel may not have taken long to complete his act, but, as the trailer and clips suggest, the actor has worked to take the young hero to some interesting places. Fans will certainly appreciate his efforts and those of Kristen Lepore and her partners. When they finally have their eyes on the show.
